Don't look now, but Kevin Williamson re dangerously close to jumping in bed with the dangerous Peter Brimelow.

Williamson has posted a solid few grafs on the awakening of Jonathan Chait to the reality of leftism. Chait has finally learned that the left hates free speech, and seeks to delegitimize, then silence, opposition to its totalitarian program.

Comments Williamson:

The impulse toward what Chait here calls delegitimization was fine for a long time when it consisted mainly of nice white liberals such as Chait screaming “racist” every time they lost an argument to a conservative. Now that it is being used to tell white men such as Chait to pipe down, it’s a problem. Strange, that.

Wait a minute. Isn't Brimelow's well-known definition of a racist a conservative winning an argument with a liberal?

“Because the term “racist” is now so debased, I usually shrug such smears off by pointing to its new definition: anyone who is winning an argument with a liberal.Or, too often, a libertarian. And, on the immigration issue, even some confused conservatives.”Alien Nation, 1995, P. 10

Some days, that last category might include Williamson.
