H/T One Old Vet

On Friday morning One Old Vet posted a compendium of 22 Amnesty-related stories. In addition several important stories were posted separately including a link to Birth tourists flocking to US for instant citizenship which had the illustration above. This is connects to a 6 minute NBC News clip on birth tourism.

Basically, what OOV’s surveys are showing, as I noted on Thursday, is that the MSM is almost completely shutting out any expressions of dissent from Amnesty cheerleading. (The comment threads are totally different.)

One compendium item directly discussed this Foes of ‘amnesty’ mobilizing to help defeat immigration reform by Daniel Gonzalez azcentral.com Thu Mar 7, 2013

In 2006 and 2007, the last time Congress seriously considered immigration reform, illegal immigration was a major topic on talk radio and conservative hosts played a major role in fanning public opposition.

Now, immigration reform has not gained as much traction on talk radio, said Michael Harrison, publisher of Talkers, a trade industry magazine, which conducts a weekly survey of the most frequently discussed issues on talk-radio stations nationwide.

…immigration has been overshadowed by other issues such as the automatic spending cuts known as the sequester, gun-control legislation and rising gas prices. Last week, immigration did not even rank among the top 10 issues, according to the Talkers survey.

This is no accident, Comrades. But the secrecy with which the Congressional Treason faction is proceeding would not be needed if they were not afraid of the American public.

Just how sweeping the betrayal by the GOP Establishment of its electorate is laid out in a smugly complacent piece What Immigration Reform will Look Like by Tony Quinn City Watch 08 Mar 2013

A visit to Sacramento last week by Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-Bakersfield), the third ranking House Republican, told us a lot about what the final product will look like.

Immigration reform has five working parts, and getting them all lined up is not easy. There is legalization of the 11 million illegal immigrants currently in the country. But as McCarthy and other Republicans have signaled, that issue is now settled: immigration reform will allow these 11 million to come out from the shadows, get jobs, and stay in America. It will also allow them to obtain drivers licenses, insist that they be properly insured; in other words, have the rights and duties of legal residents.

(VDARE.com emphasis.) In other words Amnesty. When did the GOP rank and file agree to this?

The other four components essentially consist of an effort to trade larger skilled immigration and guest worker inflow for some slow-down of the enfranchising of all the undocumented Democrats – with lip service on border enforcement. But it is clear McCarthy and his cronies are only really interested in doing the bidding of the Cheap Labor Lobby.

How reckless and irresponsible this is it illustrated by a 3rd OOV selection Asian-Americans have their own priorities for immigration reform Charles Castaldi SCPR.org March 7th, 2013

This quotes Betty Hung ‘policy director’ of the Asian Pacific American Legal Center

...for Asian-Americans, reuniting families is also a top priority.

“There are almost 2 million Asians who are waiting in backlogs, waiting in line for their family visas to be processed, so millions of families also are separated," Hung says. "These backlogs can last as long as 23 years for countries such as the Philippines. And actually four of the five countries with the longest backlogs are in Asia. That’s China, India, the Philippines, Vietnam, in addition to Mexico....”

“We are mobilizing our community alongside other immigrant communities, and partners like labor, to make sure that an immigration bill is passed and signed,” Hung says. “But not just any bill, but a bill that really offers a path to citizenship as well as clears out the backlogs and reunites families.

(VDARE.com emphasis). In other words, Amnesty is going to mean a massive acceleration of Asian immigration.

The Drudge Report has had a minimal one, somewhat-related, story up during this period. Initially it was a link to Furloughs bite for customs workers By Mike M. Ahlers CNN.com Fri March 8, 2013. This morning a link with House approves lowering tuition for Colorado illegal immigrant students, bill goes to governor TheDenverChannel.com 03/08/2013 was substituted, contrasted with the Obamacrat suspension of tuition assistance for troops.

It looks like immigration stories can only be posted when linked to another issue in classic Drudge Dog whistling style.
