From the Dissident Right, By John DerbyshireF. Roger Devlin posted a generous review of my book From the Dissident Right over at American Renaissance, for which I am much obliged to him and them.

AmRen Editor Jared Taylor posted the review as written, but added a note of his own, taking issue, in his usual gentlemanly way, with Roger’s closing endorsement of Richard Spencer’s “Bolshevik” approach to the Respectable Right—i.e. burn it to the ground and let’s start over. Jared’s more of a “Menshevik”:

We should approach all people—on all points on the political spectrum—with hope and good will. Not many people change, but they are more likely to change if we treat them as potential brothers rather than as eternal enemies. Let us be grateful for whatever others are willing to say, and try not to reproach them for what they are not.

There’s an interesting and useful discussion to be had there. (Me, Menshevik).

AmRen commentators, however, seem for the most part to have been more interested in venting their feelings about my personal domestic arrangements, a topic Jared and I once jousted over on VDARE, here and here.
