A Reader Comments on the Barton Case...

Out damned Slur! The Judicial Enforcement of Multicultural Manners by Scott McConnell

From:  Bob Gentile, Atlanta, GA

Amazing! Just read the article on the above referenced case and so much for "the land of the free and the home of the brave".

We, as Americans, have lost it on so many different levels it's hard to begin an analysis. But a good place might be to focus on "the judge's instructions to the jury". Until the people in this country realize that jurors possess the right AND duty to correct common miscarriages of justice while in the jury box, we'll continue to lose our rights in trials as quickly as we are losing them through the unobstructed actions of the imperial federal government and a compliant congress.

Where will it stop? It won't! How about all the republicans that can't wait to say how they, too, support "hate crime legislation". NEWS FLASH — to be charged for a "hate crime" is to be charged for a thought crime. If we didn't have nine empty suits masquerading as the supreme court, stupid, unconstitutional laws like "hate crime" legislation would never be proposed. I don't know about you, but I'm not  holding my breath until the supreme court strikes this BS down.

Keep up the good work.
