The story below describes the murder of a college student in McMinnville, OR. When I asked the Yamhill county DA’s office if the murderer was an illegal alien I got “Sorry, we can’t release any information that wasn’t previously released.”

It’s probably safe to guess that Joventino Bermudez Arenas was illegal.

The Yamhill County Major Crime Response Team tentatively identified the suspect in the killing of Parker Moore as 33-year-old Joventino Bermudez Arenas, a resident of McMinnville.

Autopsies are scheduled for Monday morning at the State Medical Examiner's Office, according to a news release.[More]

James Fulford writes: I notice how puzzled the police are by the apparently motiveless killing of a white person by a Hispanic. Why don't they just automatically assume racism, as they do when the killer is white?
