12/20/09 - A Massachusetts Reader Says Obama's Failure To Fund Border Fence Extension Proves He's Anti-Enforcement

Re: Joe Guzzardi's Column: Accentuate The Positive, Eliminate The Negative! Harry Reid, Amnesty Won't Make It!

Senate Majority leader Harry Reid's early ad campaign, about which I wrote to VDARE.COM earlier, has not moved his popularity forward one bit.

Reid hopes to raise $25 million to influence voters that he should be re-elected.

But his most likely Republican challenger, Sue Lowden, has financial holdings in excess of $50 million. That's a sum that would put her as the seventh wealthiest in Congress.

Lowden's campaign manager Robert Uithoven said: "She has indicated she is willing, if necessary, to spend personal money in this campaign, but as of right now, we've been having success in raising campaign contributions." [Potential Reid Opponent Has Deep Pockets, Associated Press, December 18, 2009]

Nevadans have a chance to get rid of Reid, a major advocate for amnesty, and replace him with Lowden who has been outspoken in her criticism of illegal immigration.

Record's previous letters about the Anti-Defamation League, Ted Kennedy's lack of national influence and MADD are here, here and here.
