Earlier by Allan Wall (2016): Oklahoma Voters Immigration Patriots—But Congressional Delegation A Study In Terminal GOP Uselessness
Pro-tip for the editors of Merriam-Webster. In the next edition of the dictionary, illustrate the word “coward” with a picture of Sen. James Lankford, the very junior Republican from dark red Oklahoma. Lesson for the GOP/ GAP: If the party wants to continue winning, lawmakers like Lankford must say the right things and vote the right way. Otherwise, it’s time to clean house in the Sooner State.
On January 6, just as Lankford was speaking in favor of a commission to probe the validity of Biden’s miraculous 11th-hour victory on November 3, Mostly Peaceful Protesters invaded the U.S. Capitol. Lankford promptly folded like a cheap suit. No need for a commission, he said, on resuming his speech. And later, he apologized to black Oklahomans who didn’t vote for him. As the cliché goes, with friends like Lankford, who needs enemies?
Here’s a little electoral data to show why Lankford could, if he wished, take a hard America First line on just about any issue and still win resoundingly. Oklahoma is one of the reddest states in the Union. All of its 77 counties voted GOP in the past five presidential elections: 2004, 2008, 2012, 2016 and 2020. Gov. Kevin Stitt and all elected state officials are Republican; the GOP has super-majorities in both chambers of its legislature.
But rather than producing bold national leaders, Oklahomans get guys like Lankford.
Elected to the Senate in 2015, Lankford’s career (2011-2021) grade from Numbers USA is B+, but his most recent report card should get him sent to the GOP principal’s office, if only the GOP had a principal worth sending him to. His latest mark is a big, fat D. In other words, he’s been cucking on immigration.
Victoria "Tori" Rose Smith lived a tragically short life. Three years. That's less than 200 weeks on this earth. She was a girly girl who sported oversized bows in her straw-blonde hair and a megawatt smile on her face. A great-aunt described the blue-eyed baby as "bubbly," "sassy" and "full of life" despite bouncing around foster homes for much of her brief existence.
Last week, authorities in South Carolina revealed that Tori had perished as result of multiple blunt-force injuries to her tiny head. She was beaten to death. Her adoptive parents, Ariel and Jerry "Austin" Robinson, are now charged with homicide by child abuse. A six-page police incident report describes how first responders rushed to the Robinsons' home on the afternoon of Jan. 14, 2021, after Mr. Robinson called 911. Little Tori was not breathing. EMTs performed CPR. She was rushed to the hospital, where she died. Investigators immediately suspected child abuse.
The key to Tori's murder lies in 17 redacted lines of the police report from a Simpsonville, South Carolina, police officer documenting his crime-scene interview with Ariel Robinson, who described an unknown incident involving her adopted daughter that had occurred the day before. The entire paragraph is blacked out—an ominous chunk of hidden information about Tori's last day on the planet.
Republicans seem to be drawing exactly the wrong lesson from the wreckage of November 3 and ensuing runoffs in Georgia: That the uptick in the black and Hispanic votes means their “messaging worked.” And so they’ll continue mouthing MLK-esque platitudes about race and immigration—the issues that elected Trump in 2016 and he fatally ignored in 2020—and eschew the National Question and defense of the Historic American Nation. As a Venezuelan immigrant, I can say that’s a losing plan.
The GOP’s spinelessness and divorce from reality is truly mind boggling. Having blown yet another election, the party’s Conservative Inc. pundits have been gushing about increasing the GOP Hispanic vote in Miami-Dade and border counties in South Texas [Latino Voters Drifted From Democrats in Florida and Texas, by Arian Campo-Flores and Elizabeth Findell, The Wall Street Journal, November 5, 2020].
Forget that we lost the White House and both houses of Congress—we got some black and Hispanic votes!
Everyone understands the need to put the best gloss on a major loss. But their analysis of the result isn’t just flawed; it’s as if they’re living in a different world.
"The United States acknowledges that all Chinese on either side of the Taiwan Strait maintain there is but one China and that Taiwan is a part of China. The United States... does not challenge that position."
Thus did President Nixon, in the Shanghai Communique of 1972, accept China's territorial claim to the island of Taiwan.

Previously: The U.S. Military Is Woke—Patriots Must Demand Court Martials, Forced Retirements
It took the inauguration of Joe Biden, who supposedly received the most votes of any president in history, for Leftists to declare their love of the U.S. military. Last week Washington, D.C.’s ultra-Woke Leftist population greeted the National Guard that occupied the city as a liberation army—such was their crazy fear that “white supremacists” would oppose the incoming Biden regime. Frighteningly, though, the Leftists might not be wrong about the new military, given what’s been happening even under former President Trump: It might well be used to crush the Deplorables now that their agenda—America First—is being portrayed a terror threat. Even more frighteningly, cowardly military brass have accepted the mission and plan to purge the services of Right-wing dissidents [Lawmakers move to oust extremists from military, by Ellen Mitchell, The Hill, January 24, 2021] Simultaneously, of course, the armed forces will once again become a global policeman for Ruling Class militarists unhappy that Trump stalled their imperial agenda in the Middle East.
What occurred in D.C. during the inauguration would be laughable were it not so real. Restaurants that peddled Black Lives Matter propaganda offered free food to the 26,000-strong occupation force, and proudly touted how much they loved the troops. “We’re three blocks from the Capitol,” We, The Pizza manager Robert Early told the Mainstream Media. “You see what happened on January 6 and they're here to protect us” [DC restaurants donate meals to troops, first responders, by Zach Merchant, WUSA9, January 17, 2021]. Remember, Biden won DC by more than 92 percent [District of Columbia, Washington Post Electoral Results]. Washingtonians aren’t the types that shouted “These Colors Don’t Run!” during the Bush years.
Of course, before the troops rolled in, Democrats had to vet them for WrongThink. Mayor Muriel Bowser called on the Pentagon to screen and remove “anybody who cannot pledge allegiance” to the present order, whatever that means [DC mayor calls to TERMINATE National Guardsmen with ‘conflicting views’ before inauguration, RT, January 20, 2021]. Rep. Steve Cohen, D-Tenn., actually wanted the military to purge soldiers because they’re too white—white males overwhelmingly voted for Donald Trump, after all [Democratic Congressman Steve Cohen Suggests National Guard Members Might ‘Want to Do Something’ to Joe Biden, by James Gordon, Daily Mail, January 18, 2021].
