July’s job data showed the U.S. economy continuing to recover, albeit more slowly than in June. Key news for immigration patriots: for the eleventh straight month, the Immigrant Workforce Population has declined. But immigrant displacement of American workers has ticked up after a 6-month plunge, although still far below the peak reached in April 2018. By further flushing out immigrants, COVID-19 seems to have accentuated an America-First trend already underway for some time—but it’s possible that immigrants may be about to return. Unemployed Americans need protecting by the institutionalization of President Trump’s administrative immigration moratorium.

The economy added 1.8 million new jobs in July, a slowdown in hiring after a resurgence in coronavirus cases halted the return of many workers to their jobs, but the third straight month third of job gains following a loss of 20 million in April. The unemployment rate fell to 10.2% from 11.1% in June, well below the peak of 14.7% in April But there are still about 15 million fewer jobs in July than in February, before the pandemic forced businesses to close.

Our analysis of the “other” employment survey, of Households rather than businesses, found a slightly less robust picture: total employment jumped by 1.4 million. More ominously, unlike other months in the pandemic, immigrants gained more jobs than native-born Americans.

In July:

  • Immigrants (legal and illegal, government data does not distinguish) gained 700,000 jobs, a 3.0% increase from June
  • Native-born Americans gained 650,000 jobs, a 0.6% rise from June.
  • VDARE.com’s immigrant employment index, set at 100.0 in January 2009, rose to 109.9 from June’s 106.7, a 3.0% gain.
  • The native-born American employment index rose to 99.3 from 98.8 in June, a gain of 0.5%. At 99.3, the July index indicates that 0.7% fewer native-born American workers held jobs last month than at the same point in 2016, Obama’s last year in office.

“Young White Leftist Females Are Nuts.” I reported this finding in April, based on an analysis of Pew Research Center data which had found almost half of self-reported “White Liberals” (and the majority of White Liberal females) aged 18 to 29 had been diagnosed with a mental illness. Moderates were more mentally stable than Liberals but less so than Conservatives. This is only one analysis, and of course there is a replication crisis in social science. But a new study by Danish social scientist Emil Kirkegaard (right) has replicated the Pew Research findings with a vengeance, revealing that, in a huge dataset and on multiple different measures, being Left-wing predicts being mentally ill while being Right-wing is associated with sound mental health [Mental Illness and the Left, by Emil Kirkegaard, Mankind Quarterly, 2020].

Kirkegaard begins by showing that many studies have found that self-identified liberals are more likely to have poor mental health than are self-identified conservatives and also that traditional religiousness, which strongly crosses-over with conservatism, correlates with mental health, while atheism is associated with the opposite.

Kirkegaard also discusses the Slate Star Codex Reader Survey—with a sample of 8000—which found a clear linear relationship between political viewpoint and mental health. Of those who were classified, based on their views, as the most “far Left,” 32% had been formally diagnosed with either depression, bipolar disorder is schizophrenia. Of those who were the most “far Right,” only 11.8% had been formally diagnosed with one of these conditions. (Strikingly, this result was in fact the lowest for all the ten political classifications).

A federal appeals court has upheld a decision last October by a local kritarch on non-citizen use of public benefits. The issue here was a new rule, brought in earlier this year by the Department of Homeland Security, denying green cards—that's permanent resident-alien status—to aliens who use Medicaid, food stamps, and other types of public assistance. So this is part of the larger "public charge"...

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has blurted it out: America’s problem isn’t rogue white cops who unfairly persecute blacks, as the Floyd-Hoax riots and ensuing municipal destruction suggest. It’s white men themselves—and Ocasio-Cortez and the Democrats are going to do something about it, at least symbolically (for now). House Democrats have passed a bill, with significant RINO support, to remove Confederate statues from the U.S. Capitol building’s National Statuary Hall Collection.  But Ocasio-Cortez wants not just Confederates gone—white men must go, too. Bye-bye, Historic American Nation.

“We have 100+ statues and portraits in the Capitol. Almost all of them are of white men,” the woman known as Occasional Cortex huffed on Twitter referring to St. Damien of Molokai. “Every single statue there could be of a canonized saint and that *still* doesn’t change the fact that the erasure of women & BIPOC [“Black, Indigenous and People of Color”] from American history is a feature of white supremacy.”

And there you have it. Everything we’ve seen since the Floyd-Hoax riots began is about one thing: hating whites. It’s not about black lives, or slavery, or Robert E. Lee and the Confederacy or even Catholic saints such as Damien who gave their lives for “indigenous” people but are somehow viewed as “a feature of white supremacy.”

Of course, anyone who hasn’t been asleep for the last 10 years would have known it—including the 72 Republicans who, in a shameful surrender to Floyd-Hoax hysteria, joined all the Democrats in voting to banish Confederate statues.

Did these 72 GOP representatives think their vote will gain them some “strange new respect” in the Leftist media, or a higher share of the minority vote? Maybe—they are the Stupid Party. But they’re WRONG.

Well, Senator Ted Cruz’s August 4 Senate hearings on Antifa terrorism were at least a start. But Cruz’s apparent strategy of exposing Antifa and expecting elite journalists to explode in outrage is a failure. These journalists know exactly what the group is doing—and support it. The Trump Department of Justice needs to actually use state power to break up Antifa networks and arrest those committing crimes. As of now, the “authoritarian” Trump Administration has used far more force against its own supporters than it ever has against those whose stated goal is to destroy the country.

Cruz’s hearing didn’t lack for dramatic rhetoric. “This shouldn’t be complicated: peaceful protests must be protected,” the senator said. “Riots must be stopped” [FBI has opened 300 ‘domestic terror’ investigations as a result of riots, attorney tells Capitol hearing on Antifa, by Marisa Schultz and Adam Shaw, Fox News, August 5, 2020].

Still, Cruz took a defensive tone throughout. The riots were bad because they had “hijacked” protests from those “who took the street because their hearts cried out for justice” [Here’s What You Missed From The Congressional Antifa Hearing, by Samantha Renck, Daily Caller, August 5, 2020]. He appealed to the memory of flawed Leftist icons Mahatma Gandhi and Martin Luther King Jr. He also said the “rioters aren’t concerned about racial justice” but are “racist” themselves because they “destroy minority communities” and “minority businesses and minority lives across this country.”

Of course, Senator Cruz isn’t wrong with that last point. Mobs have destroyed minority businesses in many cities. Nonwhites are the ones paying most of the price from increased crime [Michael Tracey: Minority business suffering in Minneapolis following rioting after George Floyd’s death, by Michael Tracey, Fox News, July 8, 2020].

But it shows the senator’s acceptance of the Left’s moral frame and the American Right’s need to hide behind nonwhite mascots. Antifa may be extreme and a lot of them may be white, but it doesn’t follow that they don’t sincerely oppose “racism” as they define it. They just think nonwhite casualties are collateral damage, much like how John Brown began his infamous raid by shooting a free black man in the back [Was John Brown’s 1st Victim Black, by Henry Louis Gates Jr., The Root, December 16, 2013].

When Vice President Calvin Coolidge ascended to the presidency on the death of Warren Harding in 1923, a wag remarked that Silent Cal's career had exhibited unmistakable signs of celestial intervention.

Governor Coolidge vaulted to national attention during the Boston police strike of 1919, where, in a stinging letter to Sam Gompers of the AFL, he thundered: "There is no right to strike against the public safety by anybody, anywhere, any time."

If Joe Biden becomes president, celestial intervention, once again, cannot be ruled out.

Consider.
