One of the most controversial issues on the American Right is the so-called “JQ”—the “Jewish Question.” I often receive passionate emails demanding that I discuss the “JQ” or telling me that I am a coward who is too frightened to do so. The Jews “run America,” argue these people, because Jews are extremely nepotistic. That is the only reason. Jewish influence—their over-representation in elite positions—has nothing to do with the evidence, set out, for example, in British psychologist Richard Lynn’s book The Chosen People: A Study of Jewish Intelligence and Achievement , that the average Jewish IQ in the US is 12 points higher than average white IQ. Jewish average IQ, it is alleged, is actually no different from that of whites. This view recently resurfaced in a popular YouTube video by “Leather Apron Club” entitled “High Jewish IQ Debunked.” This was itself a follow-up to “Nobody knows that HALF of Joe Rogan’s Guests have THIS in common,” which claimed that 42% of Joe Rogan guests are Jewish even though Jews compose only 2% of the US population. But the videos prove no such thing about Jewish IQ.
Another YouTuber—Ubersoy—has shown this in his lengthy response video “Leather Apron Club Debunked | High Jewish IQ Vindicated.”
Firstly, Ubersoy highlights Leather Apron Club’s key argument—that he has found six studies, the higher average Jewish IQ claim relies on these studies, and they don’t actually show that Jews have high IQ or they have various issues which make them unreliable. Ubersoy replies that these are not the only studies that show that Jews have high IQ. Leather Apron Club ignored numerous other studies, some with enormous and highly representative samples, such as the National Longitudinal Study of Youth, which show that US Jews have an IQ of 112.
Secondly, Ubersoy notes that no study will be perfect, but if you have many studies pointing
I’ve long been fascinated by the “controversial” British-Canadian psychologist J. Philippe Rushton (1943-2012), to the extent that I wrote the only book-length (by no means uncritical) biography of him: J. Philippe Rushton: A Life History Perspective. It’s equally fascinating to see a new study which, in essence, proves him correct—but whose authors cannot possibly bring themselves to publicly admit this, because Rushton is just too “controversial.”
Just such a study was recently published in the occasionally daring scholarly journal Evolutionary Psychological Science. Entitled “Exploring the Influence of Race in Mate Copying Using Former Partner Evaluations,” the study, by Australian evolutionary psychologists Joseph Zhang and Ryan Anderson, focuses on the intriguing issue of “mate copying”—the tendency, especially strong in females, to choose a mate who has already proven popular with the opposite sex. But as you read it, you find that Rushton’s ghost looms large over it.
“Mate Copying” is engaged in to a greater extent by females than males, because females sexually select, to a greater extent than males, for socioeconomic status and willingness to commit to offspring among other more “psychological” traits. Males have less to lose from a relationship that goes wrong—they won’t be left with the baby—so they tend to focus more on cues of health and youth.
“Dating,” according to the authors, is the means by which females find the most appropriate partner for them. But this is a “costly process”: spending time with relative strangers involves risk and is expensive in terms of time. So females will speed up the process via “mate copying.”
If a male already has a female partner, then this proves

Earlier: In December, Biden Posted The Worst Border Crossing/Invasion Month EVER
President Biden set a new record last month. Thanks to his impeachable refusal to enforce the law, border agents encountered more than 250,000 illegal aliens, the highest monthly total in history. Yet Biden’s flacks claim everything is under control, and even better, that offering parole to the invaders will reduce illegal border crossings (by legalizing them). These smug assertions fail to acknowledge that border crossings for 2023 are expected to exceed 2022’s record. Conservatives say Biden’s parole plan is too generous; the left thinks it’s too restrictive. And now that 20 states have sued to stop it, the plan might fail, and GOP pressure through tough legislation—and one would hope through the threat of impeachment—might finally force the president to enforce immigration laws.
The current border figures are outrageous. As VDARE.com shows in its latest interactive chart, agents have encountered more than 100,000 illegals nearly every month of Biden’s presidency. The 251,000-plus detained in December marked the 10th straight month with more than 200,000. The majority of those caught are released into the country. Fox News reported earlier this month that the Biden Regime released more than 425,000 of 617,250 illegals encountered so far this fiscal year. Under Biden’s watch, more than 4.2 million illegals have been detected at the border. Hundreds of thousands more got away [4.2 Million Migrants Apprehended Along Southwest Border Under Biden Admin, by Bob Price, Breitbart, January 21, 2023].
This picture is not expected to improve any time soon. A new report projects border apprehensions to reach 2.7 million for fiscal 2023, nearly 1 percent of the American population. That would be a 12.5 percent increase over fiscal 2022’s record-breaking 2.4 million. If Title 42 public-health expulsions are stopped this year, we could see an even larger number than that grim projection [Analysis: ‘Mind-Blowing’ Illegal Immigration Under Biden Approaching 1% of Total U.S. Population, by John Binder, Breitbart, January 25, 2023].
But there’s nothing to worry about, Biden’s people say. “Despite their misinformation,
See, earlier (2003): The New York Times Says Japan Needs Immigrants. The Japanese Politely Disagree by Jared Taylor
The British Broadcasting System (BBC) has struck again in its ongoing War On Japan. Thoroughly modern Englishman Rupert Wingfield-Hayes [Tweet him], BBC’s man in Tokyo, ungraciously attacked his long-time hosts and the Japanese people, all because, we are to believe, he loves Japan. What a strange love it is that makes him want to remake Japan into an urban hell-hole, overrun with illegal aliens, perhaps like some cities back home in England. Globohomo hates the U.K., Germany, and U.S. for what they once were but hate Japan for what it still is. So Wingfield-Hayes unloaded on his gracious hosts for home prices, their decorative manhole covers, and even better, their low traffic fatality rate. And even worse, the evil Alt-Right likes Japan because of its immigration policy (essentially: none). So of course the country must change [Japan Was The Future But It’s Stuck In The Past, January 21, 2023].
Similarly, last year I reviewed the work of the U.K. Daily Telegraph’s Julian Ryall, who is obsessed with the “racism” of the Japanese people—meaning those who want Japan to stay Japanese. Now we have a similar attack.
Wingfield-Hayes, the great-nephew of WWII Major General Eric Hayes, is a 24-year veteran of the BBC with a career in Ruling Class journalism that has bestowed upon all the right attitudes about his hosts. His wife is Japanese, yet his plaintive cry is that Japan is, well, too Japanese.
As soon as you move in, your new home is worth less than what you paid for it and after you’ve finished paying off your mortgage in 40 years, it is worth almost nothing.
It bewildered me when I first moved here as a correspondent for the BBC—10 years on, as I prepared to leave, it was still the same.
Yes, the Japanese don’t like buying used houses. Consequently, homes are generally not built substantially or with insulation. Call it a Japanese thing. They also don’t like renting an apartment in which someone has died. That’s bad for realtors and landlords, but good for developers and demolition companies.
So, after living 10 years in one of the world’s best-run countries, which features low crime, social cohesion, material prosperity, and low level of income disparity, this is his complaint: No one wants to buy my house.
Boo-hoo. Maybe if he had learned something about Japan when he majored in Far Eastern Studies at the University of London, he would have expected that.
And real estate troubles aren’t Wingfield-Hayes’s only complaint. While England and the United States are infamous for graffiti and vandalism, he attacked Japan for its habit of public beautification, specifically for simple things. Japan just doesn’t slap ugly, utilitarian manhole covers over sewer holes. The covers are designed to be aesthetically pleasing, even beautiful or whimsical, and perhaps a tourist attraction:
Last year, I discovered the story behind the stunning manhole covers in a little town in the Japanese Alps. In 1924,

Earlier (2012) by Michelle Malkin: BFD: A Biden Fabulist Dud
Lots of politicians have been caught burnishing their resumes, but recently, one of our elected representatives has come under fire for telling some real whoppers. And no, I'm not talking about George Santos.
In a space of three days last fall, President Joe Biden claimed to be Puerto Rican, practice Judaism and to have lost his house in a natural disaster.
Celebrating the Jewish New Year at the White House on Sept. 30, he told Jewish leaders, “I probably went to shul more than many of you did. You all think I’m kidding.” No, he said, “I’d go to services on Saturday and on Sunday,” adding, “You all think I’m kidding. I’m not.”
Visiting hurricane-ravaged Puerto Rico the following week, he said, “I was sort of raised in the Puerto Rican community at home.”
Days later, speaking to Floridians who’d lost everything to Hurricane Ian, Biden talked about a catastrophic fire that nearly destroyed his house after lightning struck. "We didn't lose our whole home," he said, "but an awful lot of it." He'd mentioned this blaze before, claiming that he “had a house burn down with my wife in it.”
Fact-checkers determined he was referring a small kitchen fire, “under control in 20 minutes,” according to contemporaneous news reports.

Earlier by Tom Piatak: Pat Buchanan At 70: "He Told You So, You F****ing Fools!" and Pat Buchanan at 75: Now, More Than Ever, Entitled To Say "I Told You So!"
Last Friday, January 20, brought the sad news that Patrick Joseph Francis Buchanan—universally known as “Pat”—had decided to end his column. From any standpoint, Buchanan must be judged one of the most important newspaper columnists in American history. As I put it on Twitter as soon as I heard the news, “Just saw the notice of Pat Buchanan retiring from his column. Pat’s column was always a model of clarity, civility, courage, and conviction. It was a great gift to America and a great inspiration to me.” Even though I am a nobody on Twitter, and refuse to pay the fee that Twitter promises will boost my posts, my brief tweet has, at this point, garnered almost 48,000 views, 645 likes, 68 retweets, and 26 comments, nearly all of which were favorable.
The sheer longevity of Pat’s career was notable. He left the cozy confines of The St. Louis Globe-Democrat in 1965, to help Richard Nixon begin his big comeback from the political oblivion to which Nixon retreated after his embarrassingly large defeat by Pat Brown in the 1962 California gubernatorial race.
Pat’s future wife Shelley goes back even further with Nixon, having served as his secretary in 1959. She was with Nixon and Pat on a small planes during the 1960 presidential campaign (including “a Grumman Mallard which back-fired all the way down the runway” in Racine WI, recalls Pat) to enable Nixon to fulfill his foolish and never-repeated promise to campaign in each of the 50 states. The destination: remote, reliably Republican Alaska, which has given his tiny number of electoral votes to the Democrats only once, in 1964. Between Pat and Shelley, there is nothing worth knowing about American politics that at least one of them does not know inside and out.
Pat served with distinction in the Nixon White House
