It’s not news that bureaucrats like Russell Moore and the Soros Evangelicals who now control the Southern Baptist Convention, the country’s largest Protestant denomination, have adopted one Leftist PC agenda item after another, not least on immigration and “diversity.” But now patriots in local churches are fighting back—and the bureaucrats are moving to crush them.

The First Baptist Church in Naples FL [Twitter] recently began hiring a new pastor. Eventually, the congregation’s leaders and search committee put black pastor Marcus Hayes up for a vote. According to Naples First Baptist’s rules, an applicant must receive 85 percent. Hayes received only 81 percent, 1,552 yes, 365 no. So he didn’t get the job.

Hardly surprising. An email circulating among dissidents before the vote expressed concern that Hayes supports Kamala Harris, reparations, intersectionality, Critical Race theory and Eric Mason’s  “woke church” concept [Leaked Emails Show That FBC Naples’ Members Had Serious Concerns About Marcus Hayes’ Biblical Qualifications, by Jeff Maples, Reformation Charlotte, November 2, 2019]. He was simply too Leftist for a significant group in the FBCN congregation.

But rather than move on, SBC leaders made a moral issue of it, accusing congregants of racism and, remarkably, moving to purge them.

From a letter from the First Baptist “Pastoral Staff” posted to the Baptist Blogger Twitter account on October 28:

Certainly, it is one thing to disagree, but it is a whole other thing to use unscrupulous, divisive, and false accusations to achieve one’s goals. It that were not bad enough, part of the minority “no” vote did something that, quite honestly, should never ever have its place in society, much less the Lord’s Church. Last week, through social media, texting, phone calls, and emails, racial prejudice was introduced into our voting process.

Please know that specifically your Pastoral Staff is deeply, deeply grieved. We are grieved for Marcus and Mandy [the applicant’s white wife] that they had to endure such vileness. We are deeply grieved that the wonderful name of our Lord and the reputation of First Baptist Church Naples was affected by this campaign against Marcus Hayes.

Earlier: Ann Coulter On Kavanaugh Smear: Penis Story Collapses In Flaccid Hearsay

While waiting for a car at Union Station last Thursday night, I was treated to a giant TV screen playing Christine Blasey Ford's testimony from last year against then-nominee Brett Kavanaugh—now "Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh." The display had been arranged by feminists to protest the justice’s speech to a Federalist Society dinner inside the station.

Thanks for the memories! I’ve been meaning to mention that Kavanaugh’s opponents are inveterate liars, who cannot be trusted to tell the truth about anything. This was just the nudge I needed!

Today, we’ll cover some of the left’s lies about “white privilege.” (More to come in a future column.)

In their now discredited book, “The Education of Brett Kavanaugh,” Robin Pogrebin [Tweet her] and Kate Kelly [Tweet her] describe a mythical Yale University of the 1980s, teaming with rich preppies swatting down humble Puerto Ricans with their polo mallets.

The humble Puerto Rican in question is Debbie Ramirez, who didn’t remember what Kavanaugh had done to her for more than 30 years, until he was nominated to the Supreme Court, after which she spent “six days of carefully assessing her memories and consulting with her attorney,” as The New Yorker put it.

That doesn’t sound like much of an accusation, but liberals have a better method of deciding the truth:

Male: bad; Female: good;

White: bad; Half-Puerto Rican: good;

Rich: bad; Poor: good.

Using this abacus, the authors set out to prove that Ramirez is pure as the driven snow (except snow is bad because it’s white), and Kavanaugh is lower than pond scum.

Ben Shapiro, smiter of strawmen: Shapiro asserts that race and ethnicity have no bearing on how people vote. He allows that culture does, though, because culture “is about how people think”. Neat if true. But people who think the same way, sharing conservative positions on various things, vote in radically different ways–depending on their race and ethnicity. The following graphs show how (non-His...

All of Lawrence Auster's great blog View From The Right  is still online.

For six years following Lawrence Auster’s death in March, 2013, his friend and literary executor Laura (Thinking Housewife) Wood struggled unsuccessfully to interest American publishers in his magnum opus Our Borders, Ourselves: America in the Age of Multiculturalism. But, as she learned the hard way, even the most mercenary interests here in the “Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave” flee like jackrabbits from any advocacy on behalf of their country’s historical majority. So the VDARE Foundation has come to the rescue, and the public is at last invited to share the distilled results of Mr. Auster’s lifetime of careful thought about the crisis facing Western Civilization. (VDARE.com gets more money if you buy through this link: it's also available on Barnes & Noble, etc.)

You can see the problem! Imagine the terror which must have struck the hearts of Manhattan editors confronted with Auster passages like this:

European-Americans must rediscover and reassert the racial and civilizational identity they have lost, must once again believe in themselves and assert their own consciousness as a people. To do this, they must squarely confront the double standard which says that a concern for the survival of a collective white identity is illegitimate and hateful, while a concern for the collective survival of other identities, such as a Jewish identity, is moral and admirable.

(Lawrence Auster was himself Jewish, although he converted to Episcopalianism and ultimately to Roman Catholicism).

In Auster’s 1990 booklet The Path to National Suicide, reproduced in a slightly revised form as the second chapter of this new book, he noted the widespread misperception that the so-called “browning of America” is “a kind of vast natural phenomenon, as far outside of human control as continental drift.” In fact, of course, it resulted from a single ill-considered 1965 act of Congress that could be overridden by new legislation tomorrow—if only Congress had the political will for it. But it is easier to open the floodgates to immigration than to shut them: once a foreign ethnic group is established, any attempt to restrict its further migration gets interpreted as a malicious attack upon it.

And so the European founding stock of the US has sunk from nearly 90% of the population before the 1965 act to just above 60% now. The census bureau projects a 40% white America by the end of this century and, as Auster correctly remarks, “it is not at all inconceivable that in two centuries European-Americans will be no larger a part of the American population than Afrikaners are of the South African population today.”

Even if this happens, however, it does not mean whites will ever cease to be denounced as oppressors. Auster writes:

Earlier: Thanks To Michelle Malkin For Refusing To Disavow Us, And A Host Of Beleaguered Patriots (Does Colorado Need A New Senator?)

Cancel culture is metastasizing. No one is safe anymore, including yours truly.

On Tuesday afternoon, I was informed that Bentley University in Waltham, Massachusetts, had pulled the plug on my book discussion of "Open Borders Inc." with the Center for Immigration Studies' Director of Policy Studies Jessica Vaughan. The event had been scheduled for this Friday and co-hosts from Bostonians Against Sanctuary Cities were expecting a crowd of about 300 people.

University officials gave pale excuses for the last-minute cancellation, citing local organizers' request for an audio box to accommodate media outlets. Anti-sanctuary activist Lou Murray condemned the decision as "malarkey," vowing that "the show must and will go on." The Bentley University administrators who squelched our open discussion of who's subsidizing and profiting on the mass migration agenda, Murray said, "are the new politically correct Puritans. I thought 'Banned in Boston' died long ago." Liberal opponents of book burning change their tune when the book topics don't fit their narratives.

Will the GOP fight to preserve the Historic American Nation, or will it blithely submit to demographic change? That’s the fundamental question animating the “Groyper Wars” against Conservative Inc. For the past two months, young patriots—who’ve adopted as their symbol the smug toad known only as “Groyper”—have asked Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk and other Conservative Inc. figures tough questions about demographics and immigration. Conservative Inc. responded with smears and attacks on nationalist leaders like Nick Fuentes. But this fight is finally forcing conservatives to debate demographics and the GOP’s future without a white majority. It’s a far more substantive and relevant debate than the over-hyped David French vs. Sohrab Ahmari fight last summer. This is not a battle between out-of-touch pundits over “civility”—it’s a war for the future of America.

The Conservative Inc. side is primarily represented by TPUSA and Young America’s Foundation, both of which are the largest (and best-funded) conservative student groups in the country. Their primary figures are Charlie Kirk and Daily Wire editor-in-chief Ben Shapiro. ‘

In contrast, the Groypers are a spontaneous grassroots movement of young nationalists who are fed up with Conservative Inc.’s shilling for  mass immigration, globalism etc.. Their leaders are Nick Fuentes and American Identity Movement leader Patrick Casey [Far-right agitators roil the conservative movement on college campuses in battle to define Trumpism, by Nick Anderson, The Washington Post, November 16, 2019]
