Antifa unloading a U-Haul full of riot supplies, including shields and weapons

Recently, I pointed out that the Antifa groups that attacked the 2017 Unite The Right rally in Charlottesville VA were also key to this summer’s BLM riots. Now arrests during the current Breonna Taylor riots in Louisville KY have proved my point: notably Sean Gerwing Liter and his girlfriend Holly McGlawn-Zoller—who was notoriously caught In a video clip unloading a U-Haul filled with riot supplies [U-Haul Seen Distributing Shields, Potential Weapons to Louisville Rioters Rented to Holly Zoller of Soros-Connected Louisville Bail Project, by Cassandra Fairbanks, Gateway Pundit, September 23, 2020]—were also caught on camera leading the charge in Charlottesville three years ago. Had our rulers done their duty, defended UTR’s civil rights and cracked down on these Communist vigilantes, America would now be a very different country.

Holly McGlawn-Zoller and Sean Gerwing Liter are both co-founders of Louisville Anti-Racist Action, an integral part of the Antifa Torch Network, explicitly known for being “militant” (Louisville Antifa: Inside Two Of The City’s Most Militant Activist Groups, by Danielle Grady, LEO Weekly, February 19, 2020)

Therefore, it is no surprise that Zoller and Liter are involved in the Louisville riots that followed a grand jury indictment against a single police officer over the death of Breonna Taylor. (Violence erupts in Louisville after only 1 cop indicted in Breonna Taylor case, by Noah Goldberg, Leonard Greene and Nancy Dillon, New York Daily News, September 3, 2020)

Video footage shows that Zoller’s riot shields and barricades were used in violent brawls against law enforcement. At the 50 second mark in the video below, a riot shield is being thrown at the head of a Louisville police officer.

Liter was arrested on multiple charges stemming from the recent riots in Louisville. According to Jefferson County court records, he was arraigned on charges of obstructing a highway, disorderly conduct, unlawful assembly, and driving a vehicle with an obstructed windshield.

The FBI has released its national crime stats for 2019. Murder was down 0.2%. While blacks made up 52.5% of known murder offenders from 1980-2008, their percentage continues to inch upwards, reaching 55.9% in 2019: That means blacks were 8.2 times per capita as likely as a nonblack to be a known murder offender in 2019. Like Wikipedia, the New York Times keeps a list of COVID fatalities in its continuing “Those We’ve Lost” feature. Wikipedia’s metric for inclusion is whether the victim had already had a Wikipedia page, while the NYT picks people for its own reasons, including that they are notable for how young they died. So the latter is a more “curated” list than Wikipedia’s. Even so, a look through the NYT’s ph...

Joe Biden is not running an energetic campaign. In fact, he really doesn't seem to be campaigning at all. Then again, he doesn't have to. The Main Stream Media is running the campaign for him. In 2016, the MSM went through the pretense of being objective, reporting on Hillary Clinton's email scandal and some of the less savory aspects of the Clinton Foundation. However, the lesson the MSM took from...

With one exception: race.

If de Tocqueville really thought blacks and whites could never live together in harmony, he was wrong, they wrote.

Well, it's time to slide that bead over to the "win" column, too.

If 2020 has a race relations lesson, it’s that the number of years out from the end of slavery means nothing. Or the numbers of years out from a black president. Or Civil Rights. Or Affirmative Action.

Or Martin Luther King Day.

You get the picture. To adapt the famous Rodney King quote, blacks and whites just can’t “all get along.”

The riots, the rise of Antifa and BLM, the increasing murder of whites-as-whites and police officers—it all came as a shock to those white Americans who could have sworn the whole race thing was taken care of.

But 2020 would not have surprised de Tocqueville. The Norman-descended Frenchman is, of course, legendary for the elegance and perceptiveness of his writing. He's claimed by both Right and Left (with some justification on either side).

By nominating Federal Judge Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court, Donald Trump kept his word, and more than that.

Should she be confirmed, he will have made history.

Even his enemies would have to concede that Trump triumphed where his Republican predecessors—even Ronald Reagan, who filled three court vacancies—fell short. Trump's achievement—victory in the Supreme Court wars that have lasted for half a century—is a triumph that will affect the nation and the law for years, perhaps decades.

On Friday, President Donald J. Trump pitched his “Platinum Plan” [PDF]to send billions in aid to black communities, push more criminal justice reform, make “Juneteenth” a national holiday, classify lynching as a federal crime, and designate Antifa and the Ku Klux Klan as terror groups [Trump $500B Black America plan designates KKK, Antifa as ‘terrorist organizations’, by Brooke Singman, Fox News, September 25, 2020]. But given that Trump’s weakness in polls is now among his white base, which this goody bag for angry blacks will do nothing to change, the plan must mystify his loyalists. Even worse, it’s self-defeating. He can’t defend the interests of the people who could elect him— whites—and concomitantly push a bill that implicitly demonizes them.

The Platinum Plan is the basically usual GOP appeal to perpetually-aggrieved blacks, but on steroids, with promises of Jack Kempian opportunity zones, school choice, more funding for historically black colleges—and, laughably, the elimination of occupational licensing requirements, one of the more silly ideas from the libertarians they don’t believe themselves. When I see a libertarian seek treatment from an unlicensed brain surgeon, I’ll believe their press releases.

To be fair, the plan does pitch one key national populist idea as good for blacks: an immigration policy that protects black jobs, for instance, and creates more black jobs by insisting on tough trade deals and bringing manufacturing back home. Of course, immigration patriots can and should support those ideas.

But problems abound:

  • Infrastructure investment of $500 billion in black communities, aiming to create 3 million new jobs, and 500,000 black-owned businesses. As part of a general economic plan that would benefit all Americans, that wouldn’t be so bad. But this is a pledge intended only for blacks. Is this legal?
  • “Home ownership opportunities” a daft idea from George W. Bush, which contributed to the subprime mortgage crisis because blacks and other minorities received home loans they could not afford.
  • “Criminal justice reforms” to reaffirm Jared Kushner’s First Step Act, which sprung hundreds of violent offenders and drug dealers from prison. It includes “a National Clemency Program to unite families and invest in human potential, focusing on wrongful prosecution and rehabilitation,” more “diversity training” for cops and incentives to hire ex-cons.

Those three strikes should be enough to call this plan out, but alas, it gets worse.

VDARE.com Editor Peter Brimelow wants me to review Matthew Yglesias’s One Billion Americans: The Case for Thinking Bigger But I have some fundamental questions before I do so. First, what does “American” even mean if we import more than 600 million migrants, utterly swamping the already floundering Historic American Nation? Second, how will this huge population help us “compete with China” when there have been numerous cases of migrants spying for China? Finally, why would any immigrant want to defend a country which systemically incentivizes non-assimilation? If we must have an empire to compete with China’s civilization-state, it would make more sense for the West to consolidate as a racial, cultural, and spiritual entity than to import millions of people who are more likely to destroy us than save us. Reviewers I respect give me no hope that Yglesias, a lunatic immigration enthusiast so rabid that he has blocked VDARE.com on Twitter, will address these questions

Indeed, it’s not certain that America can maintain its identity even with the current demographic balance. Ygeslias’s premise is already moot because there’s now no consensus about what “America” even means. We are in the midst of a Cultural Revolution, with America’s history, heroes, and heritage under attack. Even after centuries in this country, many African-Americans simply do not identify with the United States, which is why they are now kneeling in protest for the Star-Spangled Banner, demanding we honor their own “National Anthem,” and burning the American flag.

Rather than standing against this behavior, President Trump just rewarded it with another payoff, a $500 billion “Platinum Plan” for black America, including their own pseudo-Independence Day, “Juneteenth” [President Trump Releases The Platinum Plan For Black Americans: Opportunity, Security, Prosperity, And Fairness, Donaldjtrump.com, September 25, 2020]. It won’t help him politically and once again, white workers get the bill.
