DERB'S NOVEMBER DIARY [10 ITEMS]: Dismantling Meritocracy; Nurturism Is Hate; The Equity Chimera; WW1 Reflections; ETC. ETC.

Dismantling the meritocracy    I think it was Steve Sailer who first observed that the now-ubiquitous initialism DEI, for "Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion," should more properly be written DIE, as in: "DIE, WHITEY!"

Nowhere is that more apt than in the field of medical education, as we were reminded early in November when the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) extruded a 68-page report on "Assessing and Advancing Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Efforts at AAMC Medical Schools."

I don't recommend you try reading the report. It's all written in dense Diversperanto jargon (Ctrl-F "holistic"—eleven hits). The excellent Dr. Stanley Goldfarb, co-proprietor of the anti-woke medical website Do No Harm, published a readable summary of the AAMC report in the New York Post.

So how are medical schools most woke? Affirmative action, for one: 100 percent have "admissions policies and practices for encouraging a diverse class of students." Fully 85 percent have leaders who've "used demographic data to promote change" within their institution. In other words, medical schools are giving skin color and gender a consistently bigger emphasis in recruiting. This approach risks de-prioritizing merit, leading to a lower quality of medical students.  [Med schools are even more woke than you think—and your care is at risk, by Dr. Stanley Goldfarb; New York Post, November 16 2022.]

De-prioritizing merit, right. (Although Dr. Goldfarb's usage of the weasely "skin color and gender" raised my hackles a millimeter or two. What's wrong with "race and sex"? But this may have been a Post editor substituting his own words for Dr. Goldfarb's.) Why would medical schools want to risk de-prioritizing merit? Isn't merit in the practice of medicine, like, … meritorious?

So far as I could discover from further Ctrl-F-ing, the AAMC report sheds no light. Here's a different document that does, though: the American Medical Association's 2021 report "Organizational Strategic Plan to Embed Racial Justice and Advance Health Equity."

This one was 86 pages of Diversibabble. I couldn't face reading it myself, but fortunately Jared Taylor did the job for us at American Renaissance back in September. Jared scraped and bagged the following little deposit from page 12:

The myth of meritocracy … is a narrative that attributes success or failure to individual abilities and merits. It does not address the centuries of unequal treatment that have intentionally robbed entire communities of the vital resources needed to thrive.  [Medicine Goes Dangerously Insane, by Jared Taylor; American Renaissance, September 9 2022.]

The word "dangerously" in Jared's title is not hyperbolic. Third-rate doctoring may kill ya and the DEI cult is pushing third-rate doctors into the profession as fast as it can.

Dr. Barton Cockey has written about this repeatedly

Earlier, by Federale:  What Can The Republican House Do On Immigration? A Lot, Even With A Small Majority

The midterms weren’t a complete disaster for Republicans. They won the House and can act on the illegal-alien invasion at the southwest border. The GOP campaigned (too quietly) on the border crisis and voters who rated immigration as an important issue were more likely to go Republican. Polls show widespread disapproval for Joe Biden’s policy of Open Borders. Americans want their government to secure the border and to deport illegal aliens. They also want those responsible for this attack on the Historic American Nation to pay a price. So what will a GOP-led House will likely do—and not do—on immigration?

  • Amnesty Is Dead

Immigration patriots should be most happy with what Congress will not do. Almost certainly, Amnesty will not pass a Republican-controlled House. Democrats tried to pass three Amnesties last year. One legalized the so-called Dreamers (illegal aliens who came to the U.S. as minors), another legalized illegal-alien farm workers, and the third was the budget bill that would have legalized millions of illegals. The first two Amnesties received some Republican support, but a number of those Republicans are gone. The third received only Democratic support and, like the other two bills, died in the Senate.

Another proposed Amnesty, President Biden’s brainstorm, would have given all illegal aliens

If you want a taste of the Woke ideology peddled by too many contemporary American evangelical preachers (I speak as a disgusted patriot Evangelical), check out Woke Preacher Clips on YouTube—subtitled Theology At The Intersection Of Woke And Cringe at the channel’s Facebook page. It’s like the wildly popular Libs of Tik Tok Twitter feed, but features videos of evangelical preachers who spew sermons that are blatantly anti-white, anti-Christian, and crazily pro-immigration.

Here are a few examples:

  • Immigration

Well-known evangelicals are positively celebrating the demographic transformation of the country, apparently because they think their churches will benefit.

Thus Tim Keller, founding pastor of Redeemer Presbyterian Church in New York City and the author of the highly successful Reason for God: Belief in an Age of Skepticism, believes the browning of America by Third World immigrants is a good thing because they will replace whites who are leaving churches:

I believe that the dechurching thing will bottom out in about 20 or 30 years, because, number one, immigration means that nonwhite people are a lot less secular, a lot less individualistic than white people. … [A]s our culture becomes more multiethnic and as the nominal believers leave and we get down to the converted, you’re going to find that the church [is] starting to grow back in many, many ways.

[Tim Keller: Immigration Will Contribute To U.S. Revival, “Non-White People Are A Lot Less Secular,” May 19, 2021]

Similarly, speaking at a Redemptive Unity Seminar at Perimeter Church in Atlanta, Ligon Duncan, chancellor of Reformed Theological Seminary, asked “What if that is God’s plan to reverse secularization in the United States?” He went on:

What if immigration is part of God’s strategy to reverse that in the United States?

And the people that don’t look like me, actually, because they believe like me, are much closer to me than people who do look like me and who don’t believe the Bible and don’t believe in Jesus and don’t believe the gospel.

Oh, that gets me excited!

[Ligon Duncan: What If Immigration Is ‘God’s Plan To Reverse Secularization In the United States’?, October 16, 2021]

Elsewhere in the video, Duncan explained that the 1965 Immigration Act is responsible for the demographic transformation of the United States. So he applauded the Great Replacement.

Apparently, Keller and Duncan haven’t noticed or thought about a few things, not least that whites
