Much of Diversity-Inclusion-Equity ideology originates in Schools of Education for use in teacher training seminars, so the quality of the artwork created to illustrate the sacred concepts of Wokeness is often at the Comic Sans level of Photoshop sophistication. Also, many of the artists and much of the audience are comically clueless about the metaphors they try to exploit, such as mountain climb...

In the Bay Area, the Year Zero’s un-namings grind on. While San Francisco today un-named Abraham Lincoln High School, UC Berkeley un-named Kroeber Hall, which had been named for one-time liberal hero Alfred L. Kroeber (1876-1970), the holder of the first ever Anthropology doctorate granted by Franz Boas’s department at Columbia U. Kroeber’s daughter was the late liberal sci-fi writer Ursula K. LeG...

Care and Feeding” is SLATE.com’s parenting advice column where wannabe Woke parents write in to be chastised by a rotating group of SLATE staffers.

Recently, a flood of race-centered questions has taken center stage in the column. My personal favorite:

It serves as a window into the paranoia that Leftist parents are whipping themselves into in the United States of St. George Floyd.

Concerned mother “Momma So White” reported that her young son has started repeatedly “complimenting” her by saying, “Momma, I like your white skin.”

The mother and her husband attempted to squash this new behavior by explaining to their child

…how compliments about people’s character are kinder than those about appearance, about how all skin colors are beautiful, and about how people of color are treated unfairly in our society despite having equal value.

But no luck.

Having run out of international con women to promote or innocent biological weapons researchers to accuse, The New York Times’ Nicholas Kristof [Email him] is banging on about a spectacularly guilty quadruple murderer who—according to Kristof—“is very likely innocent.”

In this belief, he is opposed by more than a dozen courts, including the California Supreme Court, the infamous 9th Circuit and the U.S. Supreme Court. Joining Kristof’s crusade are Kim Kardashian and the usual pro-criminal misfits. (At least Ivanka is no longer making criminal justice decisions for the White House!)

On June 4, 1983, a Chino Hills, California, couple and two children were hacked to death by a perpetrator using a hatchet, an ice pick and a hunting knife. Doug and Peggy Ryen, both 41 years old, had been chopped, slashed and stabbed 37 and 33 times, respectively. Their 10-year-old daughter, Jessica, had 46 wounds, and a visiting neighbor, 11-year-old Christopher Hughes, had 25. Some of the victim’s body parts had been fully amputated. The Ryens’ 8-year-old son, Josh, miraculously survived, despite a slit throat and hatchet blows to his head.

Christopher’s father discovered the nightmarish scene the next morning, when he came to pick up his son for church.

In 1985, a unanimous jury convicted Kevin Cooper, a violent rapist, career criminal and escaped mental patient, of the murders and sentenced him to death. His story illustrates why more prisoners on death row die of natural causes than execution.

"Latinx" is one of those fake words like "womyn" that few use outside universities and marketing departments. It is a particularly clumsy way of trying to ban certain kinds of speech, in this case, by getting rid of the "gendered" words that are inherent to Spanish.  Of course, actual Hispanics think it is stupid. About 98 percent don't use the world [How do U.S. Hispanics prefer to describe their ...

A piece of good news much less important than the death of GOP corrupter Sheldon Adelson but still welcome:  GOP Sen. With urban murders up 38% in 2020, the second Black Lives Matter murder boom has no doubt cost urban Democratic voters tens of billions in lost property values. But the Biden Administration is working on boosting the property values of Democrats in the big cities via population transfers of urban blacks to traditionally Republican suburbs and small towns. So, the Obama era fed program with the Daff...

Earlier by Allan Wall (2016): Oklahoma Voters Immigration Patriots—But Congressional Delegation A Study In Terminal GOP Uselessness

Pro-tip for the editors of Merriam-Webster. In the next edition of the dictionary, illustrate the word “coward” with a picture of Sen. James Lankford, the very junior Republican from dark red Oklahoma. Lesson for the GOP/ GAP: If the party wants to continue winning, lawmakers like Lankford must say the right things and vote the right way. Otherwise, it’s time to clean house in the Sooner State.

On January 6, just as Lankford was speaking in favor of a commission to probe the validity of Biden’s miraculous 11th-hour victory on November 3, Mostly Peaceful Protesters invaded the U.S. Capitol. Lankford promptly folded like a cheap suit. No need for a commission, he said, on resuming his speech. And later, he apologized to black Oklahomans who didn’t vote for him. As the cliché goes, with friends like Lankford, who needs enemies?

Here’s a little electoral data to show why Lankford could, if he wished, take a hard America First line on just about any issue and still win resoundingly. Oklahoma is one of the reddest states in the Union. All of its 77 counties voted GOP in the past five presidential elections: 2004, 2008, 2012, 2016 and 2020. Gov. Kevin Stitt and all elected state officials are Republican; the GOP has super-majorities in both chambers of its legislature.

But rather than producing bold national leaders, Oklahomans get guys like Lankford.

Elected to the Senate in 2015, Lankford’s career (2011-2021) grade from Numbers USA is B+, but his most recent report card should get him sent to the GOP principal’s office, if only the GOP had a principal worth sending him to. His latest mark is a big, fat D. In other words, he’s been cucking on immigration.

Victoria "Tori" Rose Smith lived a tragically short life. Three years. That's less than 200 weeks on this earth. She was a girly girl who sported oversized bows in her straw-blonde hair and a megawatt smile on her face. A great-aunt described the blue-eyed baby as "bubbly," "sassy" and "full of life" despite bouncing around foster homes for much of her brief existence.

Last week, authorities in South Carolina revealed that Tori had perished as result of multiple blunt-force injuries to her tiny head. She was beaten to death. Her adoptive parents, Ariel and Jerry "Austin" Robinson, are now charged with homicide by child abuse. A six-page police incident report describes how first responders rushed to the Robinsons' home on the afternoon of Jan. 14, 2021, after Mr. Robinson called 911. Little Tori was not breathing. EMTs performed CPR. She was rushed to the hospital, where she died. Investigators immediately suspected child abuse.

The key to Tori's murder lies in 17 redacted lines of the police report from a Simpsonville, South Carolina, police officer documenting his crime-scene interview with Ariel Robinson, who described an unknown incident involving her adopted daughter that had occurred the day before. The entire paragraph is blacked out—an ominous chunk of hidden information about Tori's last day on the planet.

Republicans seem to be drawing exactly the wrong lesson from the wreckage of November 3 and ensuing runoffs in Georgia: That the uptick in the black and Hispanic votes means their “messaging worked.” And so they’ll continue mouthing MLK-esque platitudes about race and immigration—the issues that elected Trump in 2016 and he fatally ignored in 2020—and eschew the National Question and defense of the Historic American Nation. As a Venezuelan immigrant, I can say that’s a losing plan.

The GOP’s spinelessness and divorce from reality is truly mind boggling. Having blown yet another election, the party’s Conservative Inc. pundits have been gushing about increasing the GOP Hispanic vote in Miami-Dade and border counties in South Texas [Latino Voters Drifted From Democrats in Florida and Texas, by Arian Campo-Flores and Elizabeth Findell, The Wall Street Journal, November 5, 2020].

Forget that we lost the White House and both houses of Congress—we got some black and Hispanic votes!

Everyone understands the need to put the best gloss on a major loss. But their analysis of the result isn’t just flawed; it’s as if they’re living in a different world.
