A Master’s Thesis Exposes Anti-White Liberal Media Bias; etc.
From:
William Joseph McCollogh (e-mail
him)
Re: Boethius’ Column:
Obama’s Contempt For Ordinary Whites—And McCain’s
Inability To Defend Them
Two
fellow students and I recently completed our jointly
written master’s degree thesis addressing this point
made by Boethius:
"The pervasive contempt for ordinary white Americans
among the liberal Democratic elite can be no surprise to
anyone who, like me, has spent most of his or her life
since high school in the company of liberals..."
Our thesis
analyzed contempt by tracking slurs published in the
print media toward ordinary white Americans. We targeted
the left wing
San Francisco Chronicle and
San Jose Mercury News. Our findings are, to say
the least, painful.
Used in editorials, news stories, photo captions and
quotations acceptable (to them) slurs were offensive and
demeaning words and phrases like white boy,
redneck, hillbilly, cracker, white trash,
nerdy,
white-bread, lily white, typical American,
typical white person, goober,
white resentment,
acting white, and Wonder Bread—along with
Spanish-language slurs like anglo,
guero, and
gringo.
Mainstream media contempt can also be gauged by
where the story is placed,
the headline, lead paragraph and the use of
derogatory stereotypes and photographs.
Although our paper caused a stir, we each received an
A grade.
McCollogh will receive his
Master’s Degree in May.

A Texas Reader Looks Back With Sorrow At His Home State Of Maryland
From:
Chris Lollar (e-mail
him)
Re: Joe Guzzardi’s Column:
Maryland Gov. O’Malley Jails Immigration Reform Patriot
My father, and now my younger
brother who partnered with him, have a
general contracting business on Maryland’s Eastern
Shore.
For 35 years, my family poured our
blood and sweat into our work. I have always been proud
of how Dad pulled us through the good times and bad to
wind up successful.
In all that time he stood by honest
principles and refused to cut corners or
cheat customers, even when it made things difficult
financially.
I understand [jailed immigration
patriot} Abbott’s frustration with the
unfair competition from illegal aliens and the
blatant lack of immigration law enforcement by state
and federal legislators.
Over the past several years,
Maryland has experienced
an immigration explosion like I never could have
imagined. Growing up in Kent County, we always saw the
buses of
migrant workers from the nurseries that would come
into town to drop them off for running errands.
But around eight or nine years ago
the demographics of our town
began to change. Neighborhoods that used to be
predominantly black are
now Hispanic and appear to have
gang- related activity. The blacks were pushed out
to the edge of town into FHA housing.
Not only were Americans losing
their jobs to the new wave of cheap and mainly illegal
labor, they were also losing their homes.
The irony is that the black
community first welcomed immigrants because they were
non-white.
Although my wife and I moved to
Texas a few years ago, we still carry our
Maryland flag. We used to display it outside our home
with pride. Not anymore.
The election of Governor Mark
O’Malley and the direction our once wonderful state have
taken instills disgust in me. I’m not sure I’ll ever
return to Maryland.
Let Abbott know that there are
others out there who understand where he’s coming from
and the frustration he’s going through.
I wish Abbott luck and good
fortune. May some semblance of whatever
justice remains in Maryland
serve him well.

An Illinois Reader Thinks That Md. Governor O’Malley Should Stay Pro-Immigration—So Voters Can Throw Him Out
From: Mike
Mozart (e-mail
him)
Guzzardi wrote that Maryland Governor Mark O’Malley
should meet with jailed patriot Walter Abbott to learn
how illegal immigration adversely impacts American
workers.
I disagree!
Too many times
treasonous politicians have found themselves facing
American’s wrath because of their pandering. Then, in
order to save their sorry political hides, they do an
about-face and act as if they care about citizens.
I say once a traitor, always a traitor. They may
change their spots or their verbiage but they’re always
the same untrustworthy animal.
We know that some Americans are easily fooled and
have bad memories. See the
John McCain phenomenon, for example. So allowing a
traitor to put on a public mea culpa the worst
thing to do
To be sure, the Governor should drop the charges
against Abbott so this American citizen and his family
can be free from government tyranny.
But to offer O’Malley a way out would be wrong. The
mainstream media would be all over the story of how a "benevolent"
Governor came to the rescue of a wronged American
citizen.
Let the traitors continue their vile ways until it's
election time. Never give them a way out. The more
ammunition we can use against them at
election time the better.
Mozart lives in what he
describes as "the Democratic-controlled sanctuary
city of Chicago." He is a Minuteman and, with
others, protested in front of
Elvira Arellano's
church hideout. Read his previous letters about Arellano
here and the folly of
re-electing the same traitors
here. Mozart’s last
letter about how Michelle Obama is working against black
Americans by supporting illegal immigration is
here.

A New York Reader Disagrees About Barack Obama’s True Feelings
From:
Tim Brand (e-mail
him)
Re: Today’s Letter:
A California Reader Says Pundits “Fail To Grasp The
Obvious” About Barack Obama
Mark Mallarde, writer of the above captioned letter, has
a wonderful gift. He can
read Obama’s mind!
Mallarde makes several amazing assumptions about
Obama that include: "His gaffes don’t reflect his
true beliefs," "Obama
does not believe that rural Pennsylvanians’ economic
misfortune makes them cling to guns, or become
anti-trade and
anti-immigrant."
"Obama is not that naïve about Pennsylvanians," and
"Obama does not believe any of the vitriol
spewed from his Chicago
pastor
Jeremiah Wright."
How can Mallarde possibly know these things? Is he
psychic?
If not, the only way anyone can know what Obama thinks
is if you yourself are Obama.
Brand lives in Queens and works in Manhattan. His
previous letter about Eliot Spitzer is
here.
James Fulford writes:
No, we aren't psychic here at VDARE.com, and neither are our
readers. But the way you read a politician’s mind is by
listening to what he says, and watching what he does,
and in the case of Obama, by reading
his autobiography. Many people make the assumption
that what he says in private to San Francisco
billionaires from whom he wants to extract money, must
be what he
really believes, just because it is in private. They
have failed to allow for the fact that he may not
believe anything.
In the
1940's Robert A. Heinlein wrote
some
satirical advice for politicians:
“Try to win the support of every possible sort of group
by hedging your statements and
carrying water on both shoulders.
Chamber-of-Commerce meetings and
funny-money rallies don't draw the same audience, do
they? You can do a lot—a lot of something at least—by a
wink and a nod. You are for the welfare of all the
Peepul, and that is what matters-as for your methods,
well, you have to fight fire with fire—it's a dirty
business, isn't it?
“(You're blinking well right it's a dirty business if
you play it that way!)”
That advice was part of a chapter headed "How To Lose
An Election"

A Canadian Reader Says Baking Slow Rising Bread Teaches Us To Respect The Value Of Time
From:
Bettie (e-mail
her)
Re: Joe Guzzardi’s Column:
Fight Back! Bake Bread!
I was thrilled to see Guzzardi’s article on baking
bread the way it is supposed to be relative to
digestibility, flavor and the de-activation of
anti-nutrients. I first learned the method developed by
ex-hippie writer Clive Lawler
Nutritionists say that long-risen bread is less
likely to create reactions in persons who think they are
allergic to gluten especially if you use sifted spelt
flour that strains out of the larger bran particles.
Lawler’s gives
time meaning instead of always looking for ways to “save”
it. Who doesn’t have fifteen minutes? Interestingly,
Lawler recommends using a bit of powdered ginger for
leavening instead of added additional commercial yeast.
What and how we eat matters so much in our lives.
Joe Guzzardi
comments:
I’ve discovered a whole grain sour
dough bread
recipe that uses spelt,
organic rye, whole wheat and white flours. The rising
occurs over three days but still involves less than five
minutes of active preparation time. I’m on day two right
now and will let readers know the results.
