In this column on July 24 I asked readers to help me locate The Black Regiment. These are patriot-preachers who have "understanding of the times, to know what [America] ought to do." (To borrow from I Chron. 12:32.)

Specifically, The Black Regiment is comprised of pastors who believe in constitutional government. They support the principles contained in the Declaration of Independence and Bill of Rights. Their loyalties lie with Biblical and historic American principles, not political parties or politicians. They understand the importance of national sovereignty and independence. They oppose any attempt to merge the United States into any kind of regional or hemispheric government, whether it be political or commercial. They oppose preemptive wars of aggression. They refuse to surrender their individual liberties under the rubric of "security," which means they oppose warrantless wiretaps and eavesdropping and any other encroachment of our freedoms.

Black Regiment preachers are not pantywaists. They are not controlled by church committees or boards. They preach the Word of God without fear or favor. They call a spade a spade. They cannot be bought or bullied.

I am happy to say that I have received nearly 500 responses to my initial appeal. However, I know that there are many hundreds more such men out there. I am confident that there are still "7000" who have not bowed the knee to Baal. I am asking readers to help me find them. I need their name, church name, city and state, and contact information.

I will be posting this information on a special "Black Regiment" web page, so people around the country who hunger to hear and worship with such a pastor will be able to locate him. I receive scores of emails and letters every week from people all over America begging me to recommend such a preacher to them. This list will help me do just that. Please help me.

I am aware that there are some who are hesitant to provide such information for fear that the "wrong people" will copy the list and target these men. I suppose that could happen. However, I ask such people to remember the sagacious words of Benjamin Franklin, who after the Declaration was signed, said, "We must all hang together, or assuredly we shall all hang separately."

Do you really believe that by remaining anonymous you can remain free (and safe)? What will you do when all the rest of us are gone? Will you then find the courage to speak? When you are all alone (and right now you are NOT alone), will you then be willing to sound the clarion call for freedom and independence?

The time to speak out, the time to stand, the time to hold high the message of liberty is now. If we fall, let us fall fighting.

Once more, I ask readers to help me locate The Black Regiment. Remember, too, that a name without an address or contact information does not help me.

Please send your responses to [email protected]

When our list is compiled, we will publish it on my web site, which is located at http://www.chuckbaldwinlive.com

So, for all of you folks who are desperately seeking a Black Regiment-type preacher in your area: stay tuned.

Dr. Chuck Baldwin is the pastor of Crossroad Baptist Church in Pensacola, Florida. He hosts a weekly radio show. His website is here.
